About the role:
As a Senior Supplier Performance Engineer you will be responsible for management of a multi-national work group responsible for the selection and the development of Suppliers who delivers direct and complex material to Westinghouse (Mechanical procurement).
Specific responsibilities include:
Performing periodic supplier evaluations, soliciting input & communicating results with suppliers to reinforce and drive performance expectations Evaluating procurement risk, soliciting stakeholder input, and leveraging tools and resources to develop and manage Oversight Plans Performing on-site and remote oversight of key supplier operations and activities, documenting results and taking appropriate actions Leading supplier development and qualification activities for new products and cost reduction efforts. This includes identification of project risks and mitigating actions, managing project schedules, approval of supplier process documents, process capability analyses, measurement system analyses, input to design for manufacturability, etc. Responsibility to develop Performance Improvement Plans for poor or negative trends in performance, and managing those plans to completion Owning internal and supplier corrective action requests, performing cause analyses and verifying completion of preventative and corrective actions Leading and escalating significant “quality events”, coordinating activities, issuing timely communications, identifying stakeholders, etc. to ensure prompt identification of impacted products, disposition, & corrective action
As a successful Candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical production and manufacturing discipline, or equivalent with business experience. Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required. Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASME standards Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures Experience leading or supporting cross functional projects Project Management experienceProficiency at Microsoft Project and Teams desired Experience with nuclear products and standards desired Experience with supplier or contract management desired
