The Supplier Performance Engineer will be responsible for managing the Supplier Performances for the various commodities in Asia. The job scope includes setting goals & collaborate with Supplier base on Quality, Speed and Service levels to support factories' book-build-ship/ customers' demand requirements.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Responsible for quality, speed, flexibility, and reliability of assigned commodities. Leads evaluation and approval of new suppliers and parts using the Advanced Quality Planning process to deliver guaranteed quality and short lead times at launch. Supports global factory operations through fast resolution of supplier non-conformances, including short term containment, root cause identification, and long term, effective corrective actions. Leads supplier development projects (as prioritized and assigned) to improve performance using the Supplier Performance Process, Lean, and Six Sigma tools. Acts as the internal expert on assigned commodities. Extended arm of the Global SPE team located in AP, driving AP initiatives supporting AP sites’ opportunities. Achieves supplier quality, delivery, lead time performance goals on key commodities for new and existing product programs. Supports in resolving supplier quality problems and improve supplier manufacturing and business processes. Identifies, research and implements new materials and manufacturing technologies to improve the company's competitive position. Confers with Quality Assurance, Development Engineering and Marketing to clarify specifications and assure an accurate understanding of the quality required. Establishes and maintains rapport with critical suppliers to assure a high level of focus on total quality and process effectiveness. Collaborates with key partners to understand business priorities and drive key improvement matrices. Partakes in AP key initiatives to drive opportunities for improvement across the Supply Chain. Provides management with regular recommendations/ updates on commodity matrices performance & related action plans moving forward. Assists tactical buyers with problem resolution and provide procedural guidance, as needed.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
Minimum 4 years of experience in related Supply Chain function of Commodity Management, Supplier Performance Engineering Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong project management skills with excellent communication skills including presentation and negotiation. Solid understanding and trained in Lean techniques; SPC, 6-Sigma (Black or Green Belt) and Process Improvement tools and Problem-Solving Processes as per DMAIC. Knowledge of ISO Quality System and solid understanding of Supplier and Process audits. Strong ability to get results and committed in a highly matrixed organization will be key point for considerations. Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standard, preferably with certified CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) or CIS (Certified IPC Specialist).Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Degree or any equivalent experience in Electronics or Electrical Engineering is preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment
