As a Global Quality (GQ) (Senior) Supplier Quality Engineering Manager in the Supplier Quality department of Micron Technology, Inc., you will develop and manage all aspects of Supplier Quality Management program. You will be responsible for driving supplier quality improvement initiatives through collaboration with major stakeholders such as Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing sites to develop an effective Supplier Management Program resulting in mutual business success with Suppliers for all quality-related topics. You will assess supplier quality performance, provide timely and accurate supplier performance metrics, and facilitate continuous improvement in Supplier Quality.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Develop and maintain Supplier Quality system (manual, supplier qualification process, supplier scorecards, Supplier Quality Notice (SQN process), shift left quality programs)Partner with procurement organization to roll out supplier quality program and manage improvementAttend and actively participate in Supplier MRB, Material Change Notification meetings and make decisions in a timely mannerMonitor supplier quality performance to metrics/goals for organization and provide performance feedbackDefine supplier quality improvement strategies and drive implementationCollaborate with suppliers to drive for root cause investigations and corrective actions to resolve supplier quality related issuesPromote analytical problem solving through sound statistical applicationIncorporate the use of Micron Quality tools and methods in supplier activities and problem solvingDrive suppliers for quality improvement through deployment Micron’s shift-left quality programs such as Critical-to-Quality Cpk, FMEA built up, Ship to control ,material standards, and other quality improvement projects.Champion corporate initiatives in supplier quality and operational excellence (zero defect mindset)Qualifications requirement
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering in any related field.Minimum 5 (five) years of working experience in the semiconductor industry is required.Knowledge on substrate engineering, manufacturing process is preferred.Knowledge of electronic commodities, semiconductor processes, and supplier quality engineering process.Direct experience working with suppliers or external facing preferred.Project management experience is required.Possess a thorough understanding of measurement methods, including MSA and Calibration, statistical methods, and problem-solving methodology, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and automotive quality management systemsSupplier and Quality Management System Auditing experience is preferredExpertise in ISO/QS/ and automotive IATF type quality systems and AIAG quality tools (APQP, PPAP, etc.) is required.International travel frequency of approximate 30% is requiredAbout Micron Technology, Inc.
