Our Team

Are you seeking a brilliant opportunity where you can drive improvements that matter to our colleagues and customers? If so, join us and make a real difference!

You’ll be part of a small team who manage print and mail of letters and statements as well as inbound mail processing and record archival for all areas across the bank.  These activities are outsourced across four key third parties and this role is responsible for the management of those supplier relationships.

You’ll be pivotal to ensuring we’re able to communicate with customers reliably and that we do it safely and efficiently.

What you’ll be doing

With both direct and line management responsibility across 4 suppliers:

Ensure the suppliers are managed in line with the VM supplier management framework and policy. Identification and management of key risks – including operation and testing of effective controls. Manage third party resilience through Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity and Exit Plans.  Engage stakeholders to ensure that associated risks are appropriately managed. Development and implementation of supplier strategies to help meet the ambitions of the wider business. Act as a point of escalation and resolution of issues between the VM business and the third parties – and acting as a senior point of escalation across all third parties. Host regular governance meetings – actively managing the relationship to ensure services are delivered safely and in line with business and contractual requirements and ensuring service performance meets or exceeds business needs. Contract management – ensure that rights and obligations are actively managed and that the contract is updated in line with changing requirements. Engage with key internal stakeholders and reporting routines to provide insights and agree action plans. Verification of pricing and invoices and identification of financial threats and opportunities related to the services. Identifying and support the implementation of opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness and/or reduce cost.

We need you to have

Extensive experience in a Supplier Relationship Manager or closely related role. Significant experience working within a heavily regulated environment like Financial Services. Substantial understanding of third-party (and fourth party) risks and risk management. Experience of contract management and developing third party relationships. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence decision makers. Critical thinking mindset – curious about the “why” with the drive and ability to challenge the status quo.  Knows that “ticking the box” isn’t enough.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

Experience of print and mail operations delivered via third parties. Ability to critically analyse data to create and agree actions. Experience managing a small team.
