Who we are

HII-Mission Technologies is looking for a motivated individual to fill the role of a Senior Supply Chain and Logistics Manager. This position can be a remote/hybrid opportunity based out of Newport News, VA but will require regular visits to Divisional Supply Chain and Procurement Managers as well as travel to support visiting Australian businesses.

Key Responsibilities: Leads coordination activities for the Global Supply Chain Program in the US for HII-Australia. Manages the flow of resources, and information required by the Global Supply Chain Program to ensure that the program runs effectively to achieve contracted Strategic Performance Measures (SPM) and Program Performance Indicators (PPI)  Liaise with HII business units and senior management on the Global Supply Chain Program.  Leads coordination activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize Australian suppliers into the supply chain. Leads coordination of Australian suppliers visiting CONUS, including supporting trade shows and visits to HII.  Actively support the incorporation of innovative Australian supplies into HII’s innovation and research and development programs Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from the program and requiring coordination with other departments. Report to the Global Supply Chain Manager in Australia. Additional duties as required. What you need to have: 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Sound knowledge and experience in HII supply chain. Proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, and transportation. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, concepts, and best practices. Experience in working across time-zones to support international business. Ability to analyze data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Experience in managing a team of supply chain professionals and providing leadership and guidance to achieve business objectives. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to supply chain operations.
