Senior Supply Chain Coordinator (Monday through Friday Onsite)

Job Description

Seeking a talented individual capable of performing various types of maintenance, logistics, and general administrative activities. Excellent attention to detail, communication and interpersonal skills is required. This person will be responsible for general office maintenance work. The general maintenance includes, but is not limited to, moving furniture, repair of building equipment, ordering office supplies, hanging whiteboards, etc. This individual will also be responsible for coordinating with lab staff and carriers to ensure smooth delivery of materials to and from the site. Reports to NY Histology Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

General maintenance of office

Ordering office and lab supplies

Ergonomic Assessment

Responsible for receiving and processing incoming materials and samples, securely and safely storing temperature sensitive materials, issuing materials, ensuring that transactions are completed in the ERP system if necessary, analyzing inventory discrepancies and other duties as assigned

Experience in receiving, stockroom, shipping, material handling and inventory analysis roles. Experience in rapid-growth life science environment working with temperature-sensitive materials a plus

Must be able to create and maintain excel spreadsheets as needed

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Data entry into database systems

Track Freight with various Carriers on an as-needed basis

Receipt, transportation, delivery of materials to and from laboratory

BioHazardous Waste Management

Office move, add, and change coordination

Experience with the administration of physical access control systems

Responsible for ensuring warehouse is always ready for internal and external Audits

Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data and spreadsheets; strong numeracy skills to carry out these tasks efficiently

Open to accepting new tasks/projects as needed 

Hands-on commitment to getting the job done

May need to deliver materials off-site to courier services

Must have a general understanding of the operating environment within an FDA-regulated industry

Familiarity with the chain of custody during handling of samples and materials is desired

QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

Three years of related experience and/or training preferred 

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask

Good attention to detail and delivers top-quality work

Flexible and adapts to change positively

Strong written and verbal communication skills, Team player

Experience with desktop office applications (i.e. MS Office suite)

Experience working in the Life Science domain a plus

Experience with product Cold Storage a plus

HVac, BMS and Ergonomic Certification a plus

Required a valid driver’s license for pickups/dropoffs at FedEx using your vehicle 

Work Environment:

Employee Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more, climb ladders, and perform general labor without restrictions. Work is performed in a desk, office, and lab environment.

Additional Information

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $41,600 to $56,200. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries across all US locations for the posted role with the exception of any locations specifically referenced below (if any).

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.

Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
