Senior Supply Chain Planner - Global AI (Active Ingredient)

Job Description

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role in our dynamic Supply Chain Planning team in Manchester? We are seeking a talented Global Senior Supply Chain Planner to manage the end-to-end supply chain for some of our active ingredient families, with defined geographical scope, providing options to meet commercial upsides and downsides. Responsibilities/Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;

Being an ambassador of Planning processes and systems throughout the planning community.Actively share knowledge formally through projects and networks of excellence or informally through coaching. Ensures application of planning and forecasting processes and practices, promote and support use of SAP/APO and act as an operational consultant throughout the planning organization.Manage the overall supply/demand balance for the respective portfolio by reviewing the sales forecast, Active Ingredients (AI) net demands, and creating balanced production/purchase plans for the planning horizon.Proactively identify demand uncertainties and future supply constraints to develop options/scenarios, ensuring that future supply plans are optimized.Provide operational coordination across the end-to-end supply chain to achieve the right balance between inventory and customer service levels.Utilize financial metrics to optimize cash management when managing trade-offs between inventory, production, purchases and logistics decisions.Actively contribute to and coordinate execution of supply chain (re)design activities in close cooperation with the supply chain teams.Manage the planning reporting for sales and inventory; support AI planning team on monthly reporting cycle and develop and maintain reporting platform and KPI dashboard.

 

Qualifications and required experience

Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Science or Engineering.Understanding of manufacturing environments, MRP, underpinned by solid experience within a Supply Planning environment.System knowledge of SAP, APO is essential and Qlik, Smartsheet, SNP & rough cut capacity desirableExcellent communication skills across all stakeholder levels, including customers, and ability to effectively manage suppliers and 3rd parties.Strong sense of urgency and energy combined with good prioritization skills.Ability to translate system figures and market insights into workable plans.Ability to dynamically step into challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Site Details

This is a hybrid contract, with a minimum 2 days per week to be worked in the office, with remote working available for the remainder of the week (for the first few months, there will be a requirement to spend up to 3 days per week onsite).
