The Sr. Supply Chain Planning Specialist will support the planning strategies to ensure evaluation of product forecast using planning tools that prioritize work orders supporting sales. The role will be accountable for short- and long-term planning process within the horizon fence defined.  Will perform all required duties in compliance with company policies and applicable external regulatory agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Primary responsibilities are to:

Works with corporate Supply Chain, Master Scheduler and Operations to ensure correct products are being produced and address changes to forecast to minimize impact to customer and site.

Responsible for developing and maintaining valid production schedules (manufacturing and packaging) in conjunction with the site operations team, maximizing use of available system tools (i.e. Oracle ERP System) to meet customer requirements and maintain established inventory levels at the distribution centers.Coordinates sterilization plan for finished goods according to manufacturing specifications and production plan. Coordinates Warehouse and Quality Control function required to expedite receipt, perform testing and inspections, and maintain raw materials as required to support manufacturing operations.

Besides follow up activities regarding:

Dispatch of raw materials to production areasInventory controlLocation movesERP System transactionsWhen required, coordinates annual warehouse physical inventory activity.Analyzes Change Orders to process phase-in/phase-out of products and determine appropriate action plan.Audits the ERP Systems for accuracy and provides follow up on required transactions or discrepancies to the corresponding department.Ensures continued support to all product lines or special products manufacturing operations maintaining optimum stock of raw materials or supplies and timely delivery of these.Interfaces with personnel from other areas such as Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Control, Production Supervisors and Warehouse in support of completing all manufacturing schedules as appointed.Changes on manufacturing schedules are to be communicated on time to Supply Chain.May perform other related duties to assist the Department Managers in providing optimal plant Monitor finished goods inventory levels; expediting/de-expediting work order and release as needed to maintain set inventory and customer service levels.Meet regularly and work closely with manufacturing teams to review progress, resolve scheduling conflicts, establish priorities and update site working files to assure site management has full visibility of progress against commitments.Support planners and schedulers complete the defined time plan to ensure that all work orders are created and released on time to support the production plan.Provide updates to the supply chain team in support of maintaining established Kanban levels.Provides management with timely updates on delays, bottlenecks, any potential supply issue, and all products below their required inventory levels.Keeps factory workload level loaded.Drives continuous improvement of MRP accuracy including Master Data management.Supports new product development and S&OP process for short, medium and long-range period planning according to time fence and defined time plans.Performs periodic capacity analysis and identifies resource constraints and aids in developing recovery plans.Partners with procurement team to investigate material shortages root cause to prevent recurrence.Collaborates with material engineering and procurement teams to address supplier changes that can have potential impact to product supply and assure accurate and timely communication with corporate team is provided as needed.Leads new projects assigned as part of Supply Chain Continuous Improvement initiatives.Other responsibilities as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS – Education and Experience

Bachelor degree or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, Master degree with 3+ years of experience, Doctoral degree with 0-2 years of experience Robust Work experience with MPS and MRP, material handling, and computerized systems.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systemsAbility to analyze planning and material procurement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and negotiation skillsFully Bilingual (English/Spanish)Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and project managementPMA and/or APICS Certification is preferredLean or Six Sigma Certification is preferredMedical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred
