The Worldwide Aviation Support Services (WASS) program, an AAR business, headquartered in Rockledge, FL, provides global, world-class expeditionary and conventional aviation solutions to the US Department of State Air Wing.
Role Description:
Position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.
Performs a variety of administrative and technical assignments to include extract and analyze data, update accounts, prepare letters, memos, and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Work usually is segregated by commodity area or function, and controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, or responsibility.Maintains reports and performs administrative and technical duties that require knowledge of the department, facility, and the company along with current policies, practices, and procedures.Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty.The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions.Follow administrative processes within the site and makes recommendations to implement process improvements.This work may require consideration of program requirements together with specific variations in or from standardized guidelines.A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.Addresses problematic cases to the Logistics Supervisor and presents recommended resolutions.An understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.Establishes and maintains an appropriate filing system to retrieve needed materials efficiently.Ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.Understands and follows company procedures and work instructions.Performs diversified duties including reports preparation, data collection, reconciliation reports, and business and process documentation.Uses various software applications, such as spreadsheets, to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports.Processes shipping requisitions of materials and inventory to CONUS and OCONUS locations, as required.Uses company policies and procedures for packing components and materials into boxes, tri-walls, and pallets.Researches and provides inputs to multiple departments regarding shipments and options for shipping.Trains other employees in proper procedures.Enters and updates inventory information as required.Operates forklifts, pallet loaders, pallet jacks, packing machines, package scales, and other equipment.Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements.Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.Position requires ability to obtain and maintain an MRPT.#LI-SA1

Associates degree from an accredited university or college.6K - 10K Forklift Operator.Skills and Experience:
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience, of which six (6) must be specialized in an aviation/aerospace program.Ability to apply acquired job skills, policies, and procedures to complete task of moderate scope and complexity.Exercises judgement within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to multi-task.Proficient Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio).Good communication skills are a must.Preferred:
Two (2) years warehouse shipping, receiving or inventory picking experience highly desired.Must be able to work without supervision.Familiarity with warehousing and supply chain management programs a plus.Dangerous Goods training.Compensation and Benefits:
