Exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker!

Are you seeking a new challenge and one where you can support adults with severe learning disability and complex needs? Do you have experience of leading and supporting a team?

Working for an established provider of care and support to adults with profound and severe learning disability and complex needs, we are seeking skilled a Senior Support Worker to work within their supported living services.

The role:

To support and lead a team of Support workers providing support with rotas, support plans and risk assessmentsProvide support in the absence of the manager and with any performance related tasks including monitoring of absences, support planningAdhere to any policies and procedures and ensure all records are accurately produced and up to dateBe involved in supporting of the residents and with daily activities and personal care duties.Be aware of CQC legislation and standards.

The ideal Candidate:

You will ideally have experience of working in a similar setting and have knowledge of supporting adults with complex needs and severe learning disabilityYou will hold a minimum of the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent Supervisory experience and of leading a teamYou will be a professional and committed person with the ability to lead a team and work in a person centred way. Flexible to be able to work shifts and on a rota basis with some on call duties.
