We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Surveyor / Senior Surveyor to join our very successful commercial Valuation & Advisory team.
The position will preferably be based within the Leeds office (but Manchester or Newcastle will also be considered). Being based in Leeds, the role will primarily cover the Yorkshire/ North East region but also stretching into the wider North West region, with a focus on industrial, office and retail valuations. We are looking for, is someone who will fit with the friendly, sociable, dedicated and hardworking team dynamic.
You will primarily be involved in fund and loan security valuations working with top tier clients including funds, banks and public sector bodies. You will also work closely with the other V&A teams across the country as well as the local transactional agency teams. Core responsibilities include:
Undertake existing valuation mandates and start to build contacts to attract new businessWork on a mix of regular mandates as well as loan security and acquisition valuationsPrepare valuations and strategic advice to a wide variety of clientsBe able to take day to day responsibility for execution of instructions under minimum supervisionTo start to develop a profile in the marketplace through building key client relationshipsPlay an active role in the development of more junior team membersTo prepare valuation reports, in various formatsInspection of assets within the Yorkshire/ North East/ North West regionsPerson Specification
Good property market and wider economic and business knowledge;Excellent report writing skills;Strong planning, organisational and communication skills;Able to work under own supervision but also as part of a wider national valuation team;Social skills when networking and entertaining clients.Qualifications
