Job Description
**Experienced Yocto developer to build the next generation of controllers**
Areyou an experienced Yocto developer ready for a new challenge and want to help advance the flow of water through technology then you may be our new colleague in the Embedded Linux team in Grundfos. We are developing the next generation of multi-pump controllers used by customers around the world.
We are a busy building up our platform and have a lot on our roadmap we want to do in order to ensure our platform is fit for the needs of the different divisions in Grundfos. Therefore we need your help to achieve that.
You will be joining our team based at our R&D site in Bjerringbro responsible for our Yocto based controller. Through our platform we are enabling global software development teams to create and deploy software solutions to customers.
**Your main responsibilities:**
+ Apply your solid knowledge of embedded Linux to develop and maintain our systems
+ Work closely with the software system architect and developers to refine tasks to a state where they can be included in the sprint planning
+ Ensure estimation of backlog items to secure project planning and execution
+ Collaborate with application teams utilizing the Linux platform to ensure efficient application development
+ Ensure the quality and performance of the developed software solutions
+ Willingness to participate in the agile way of working and the associated open way of communicating to ensure transparency inside as well as outside the team
+ Self-organisation regarding planning in groups, implementation and testing
+ Willingness to learn self-reliantly and take part in permanent further training to help secure Grundfos develops solutions made for the future
**Your background:**
We imagine that you have:
+ Master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
+ Extensive experience with Yocto Linux software development and build environments
+ Strong knowledge of C/C++ and shell programming
+ Experience with distributed embedded system design and agile software development
+ Ability to work well in a team and participate in open discussions where ideas are challenged and developed together to draw on each other’s strengths
+ Curious mindset and ability to challenge the status quo with a positive approach
+ Ability to follow a structured approach to your work to ensure quality and
+ Excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing
