**Job Role:** **Senior Synthesis Engineer** **Job Location: San Jose CA (Remote)** **Job description:** As a Senior Synthesis Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing SDC and running physical synthesis using the Synopsys Fusion Compiler for TSMC technology nodes below 7nm FinFET. You will work closely with RTL developers to optimize designs to meet clock frequencies above 1.2GHz. You will collaborate with the Physical Design team to meet timing across multiple corners and execute ECOs in the PT-SI flow for timing optimization. **Key responsibilities:** + Check incoming RTL for QOR required to implement design in advanced TSMC nodes and at target frequency (above 1.2GHz) + Understand block-level timing requirements and prepare SDC with RTL engineers + Conduct multiple experiments to achieve efficient placement using the Fusion Compiler + Assist in subsystem floor planning and signoff with the chip PD team + Implement functional and timing ECOs as needed + Act as a link between RTL and Physical Design teams to identify timing closure challenges and provide mentorship for RTL changes + Resolve design, timing, and congestion issues, and determine solutions + Set up and run STA using PT-SI for all corners for timing signoff **Required Skills** + Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) degree or equivalent experience in VLSI Design + Minimum 8 years of ASIC Synthesis and STA experience + Experience in Physical Synthesis Flow + Must have driven at least one project using Synopsys Fusion Compiler + Good knowledge of optimization techniques for power, area, and timing + Experience in building SDC constraints while working with designers + Running PT-SI for Multimode Multi-corners + Experience in using AOCV or POCV for timing variations + Strong debugging capabilities in Synthesis, timing analysis, and implementation + Experience in module-level Floor planning, Place, and Route + Scripting experience with Python, Tcl, or Perl **Life at Capgemini** Capgemini supports all aspects of your well-being throughout the changing stages of your life and career.
