Job Description
Position Overview: The Senior Syslog Server Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing, analyzing, and optimizing enterprise applications and Server Log to meet the business needs of the organization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in troubleshooting, software configuration, application support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure minimum risk exposure of the application by governing and analyzing the log
Key Responsibilities:
Application Support & Maintenance:
Provide day-to-day technical support for enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating to vendors or development teams as necessary.
Perform regular system maintenance, upgrades, and patches to ensure applications remain up-to-date and secure.
Requirements Analysis & Documentation:
Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze functional requirements for new or existing applications.
Document system requirements, workflows, and configuration changes for future reference and training purposes.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications to guide system configurations and customizations.
System Configuration & Customization:
Configure and customize enterprise applications to meet business needs.
Work with technical teams to implement complex application changes, enhancements, and integrations.
Ensure that applications are aligned with best practices and standards.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Support:
Work closely with IT, development teams, and business units to ensure seamless application performance and functionality.
Provide training and support to end users on application features and best practices.
Participate in project meetings, providing insights and feedback on application capabilities and limitations.
Performance Monitoring , analysis and Reporting:
Monitor application performance and usage metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Proactively recommend improvements to optimize performance and increase user satisfaction.
Generate and maintain reports related to application usage, issues, and performance.
Incident & Problem Management:
Manage incidents and problems related to applications, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
Identify recurring issues and propose long-term solutions to prevent future incidents.
Project Management:
Lead or assist in the implementation of new application solutions, upgrades, and migrations.
Ensure that projects are delivered on time and meet the needs of the business.
Collaborate with project managers to ensure proper resource allocation and project scope management.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in application support, analysis, or implementation.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, databases, and system integrations.
Familiarity with common technologies such as SQL, Java, Python, or .NET.
Experience with cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Expertise in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving application-related issues.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and optimize application performance.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
Certifications: ITIL, ServiceNow, or relevant certifications are a plus.
