Amentum is currently seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to provide software testing for our award winning team. **Senior Linux System Administrator Responsibilities Include:** + Providing customer service, IT and Software testing support for software development lab in Dahlgren, VA to support Naval Surface Warfare Center development lab. + Managing multiple priorities from user needs, to upgrade requirements for the lab, to test weapon system maintenance software updates. + Working with a small team of software engineers and data scientists to support exciting research-related software work. + Available to support Software Lab in Dahlgren, VA between 8-5 M-F with occasional flexibility to work some evening hours approaching inspections, etc. **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in technical field + Five (5) + years’ experience in Systems Administration. + DOD 8570.01 M Level 2 or ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or equivalent that meets IT Level 2 either at or within one (1) month of start. + Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance in order to start) Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance. + IT Level 2; 7 or more years of equivalent experience administering Linux/Window systems. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Linux servers and tools in support of software development; to include scripting to automation tasks; **Benefits and Perks** + Health, Vision, and Dental + 401K with match + Tuition Reimbursement + Wellness Program + Growth opportunities and career progression + Various company discounts + Basic life and AD&D insurance + Paid time off + Flexible Holidays + Parental Leave Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
