A week in the life of an IT Systems Administrator:

Work with a small team to maintain the health and compliance of several systems including Windows and LInuX supporting web applications serving the military childcare community. Work with an integrated project team to handle releases, configurations, trouble shooting, patches, access and maintenance. Coordinate task lists and schedules across teams to ensure we provide service required on time Support configurations, deployments, security scans and assessments in Microsoft .Net, Java, Drupal, and Adobe ColdFusion technologies Apply security, operating system, software patches (including STIGs and IAVA/IAVB) in the DISA environment Assist in all information assurance and RMF Certification & Accreditation processes Perform systems monitoring, including performance and security monitoring, on all systems Identify areas of innovation, improvements, efficiencies and performance scale improvements
