This Senior System Design Engineer position within the Hardware & Platform Group shall be in the Electrical System Design team working on designing of the complete Electrical System Detailed Functional Schematics right from the concept stage until start of production for the complete vehicle. 

Functional schematic involves documentation of the Electrical and Electronics solution of finalized system concepts for all truck EE functionalities and shall be input to prepare cab and chassis wiring harness. Core responsibilities involve reviewing the system concept solutions, documenting the Electrical System Design solution, performing simulation to recommend wire cross section and supporting in physical verification on test objects.

On a typical day, you are:

Part of self-organized scrum team Support in development and documenting of Electricals System Design concepts,  Lead the review of Finalized Electrical System Design Concept cross functionally with all stakeholders,  Create and maintain the Electrical Functional Schematics,  Support in Power and Grounding concept finalization,  Be responsible for wire cross section recommendation to wiring team, Create and maintain EE components hardware model in system engineering tool, Lead in fixing the EE issues found on test objects.  Actively participate in development, enhancement of methods and processes followed. Education & Experience Required ME/M.Tech OR BE/B.Tech.,in Electrical-, Electronics Engg (or similar) with 6 to 8 years or more of experience in Automotive Electrical domain. Automotive engineering knowledge along with strong Electrical\Electronics engineering knowledge. Solid Tshaped profile with definable expert knowledge within broadbased allround toolkit.  Clear articulation of how he/she is creating value to the respective TD/BA beyond their part of the organization. Technical Learning, Action Oriented & Learning on the fly.  Multi-tasking, Priority setting, Experience in cross functional management, Strong demonstrated self- managed learning, Skills Required : Experience in design and development of Vehicle end to end Functional Schematics. Experience in simulation tools to model the electrical behavior of EE functions.    Should have knowledge in selection of fuse, relay, wire size values etc of the schematics designed. Should have very good understanding about the complete automotive electrical systems/functions.    Good Knowledge of Electrical design tools such as Saber, Capital H or any other similar tools.  Should have good understanding on software development V cycle, Vehicle EE architecture, power distribution & grounding topologies. Strong knowledge on Hardware Interfaces with electrical / components.  Should have a good knowledge on power management system (starting, charging, and protection & distribution) influence of adding electrical loads in the vehicle.    Familiarity with toolchains like JIRA, Confluence and other PLM tools is a merit. Working Knowledge on Internal Combustion Engine, Battery Electric Vehicle and Hybrid Electric vehicles.  Knowledge on current and upcoming vehicle regulations and emission norms. Working Knowledge on Functional Safety (ISO26262), Cybersecurity, SFMEA and other quality tools. Should have Team and cross functional work abilities. Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English is Mandatory.
