Senior System Engineer in Virtual Desktop management:

Job Location: Electronic City, Bangalore

This position is in Digital Workplace – Client Computing - Virtual Desktop Team.

The Client Computing Team provides a wide array of technical services, processes and IT tools focused on supporting the lifecycle management and security needs of Client systems throughout Company enterprise.

The team also supports Citrix-based virtual desktops, and Windows 365 Cloud PCs. Equipment like SCCM, WSUS and further specific tools are in-use, embedded in a global Active Directory structure, The team works together with other infrastructure units like Network-, IAM- and Security teams, Citrix infrastructure teams and provides input and collaborates with the Global Service Desk and structures services based on requirements from application and business units.

 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES:

Work on VDI Operations, Incident, Service requests, Change requests, Problem ticket analysis.Design and implementation of VDI, Windows 365 Cloud PC, FSLogix, UPM, Citrix MCS.Knowledge of working on App-V packages.Creating and maintaining the shared and dedicated Virtual Desktop images, based on the global standard desktop image.Customizing images based on business requirements.Integration of images in the global Data Center and coordination/collaboration with the Data Center Citrix team.Coordination with vendors and contribution to internal and external escalation.Creation and maintaining of documentation, Knowledge-Documents and Working- instructions.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

Willingness to join a team supporting the service in a 18 h / 5 d operation model.ITIL processes like Incident-, Problem-, Change- and Service Continuity managementFamiliarity with regulatory processes like GxP.Relevant professional experience of min. 6 years in IT, in a large Enterprise environment with many thousands of users.Strong desire to develop and grow by way of taking responsibility and engaging in

                    additional tasks and operations.

 

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Good knowledge and expertise working in Citrix environments, VDI, Windows 365 Cloud PC, Citrix MCS, UPM, FSlogix, Citrix Policies and Active directory group policies.In-depth knowledge about Citrix specific consoles, like Citrix Director and Studio.Work experience in managing App-V applications.Knowledge of monitoring solution such as eG Innovation.Scripting skills, specifically PowerShell would be of advantage.Good knowledge of Client Operating systems such as Windows 11.
