This role is within Intel’s Client Computing Group.  CCG is a computing paradigm where services and data reside in scalable data centers, and those services and data can be accessed by any connected device over the Internet. Responsible for designing and optimizing processors, chipsets and other hardware for consumer devices while also working on the software ecosystem, including drivers and utilities that enhance user experience.

In this role, you will partner with system architect, electrical engineers and other key platform disciplines, working with external OEM/ODM customers, to design leading edge innovative client products.

Your specific responsibility will include but not limited to:
1) Collaborates cross-functionally with design, power, reliability, electrical, and mechanical teams to understand the system requirements and constraints, align design target with customers, and co-define the optimal system architecture to achieve the targets.
2) Drives end to end thermal design and development from initial concept to fruition ensuring thermal objectives are met for the targeted system design.
3) Conduct thermal analysis, designs, prototypes, and testing for air and liquid cooling solutions at various stages of product life cycle as necessary.
4) Lead thermal design reviews and resolve problems identified.
5) Drive continuous technical readiness by ecosystem partnership, conducting research, experiments, prototypes, and testing relevant to thermal engineering discipline.
6) Be the customer voice to drive continuous improvement in Intel platform definition, thermal design guidance, collateral, etc.

Senior System Thermal Design Engineer should possess the following behavior attributes:

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.


What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

·Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering or other related degree with 6+ years of relevant design experience, OR Master's degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering or other related degree with 4+ years of relevant design experience.

·5+ years’ experience in at least one of the thermal analysis tools (Flotherm, Icepak, 6-Sigma or similar).



Preferred Qualifications:

1)Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering or other related degree with 9+ years of relevant design experience, OR Master's degree in Mechanical/Thermal Engineering or other related degree with 7+ years of relevant design experience.

2)Extensive hands-on experience in thermal solution design, analysis, testing in client or other electronical devices.

3)Experience with CAD tools (Pro/E Creo, Wildfire 5.0, or SolidWorks).


Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $186,070.00-$262,680.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience


Working Model
