**Description**
SAIC is seeking a Senior System-VDI Engineer that is passionate about craftsmanship, teamwork, and delivering user capability to support the Air Force weather community on the Technology Application Development & Sustainment (TADS) contract located at the Offutt, AFB in Nebraska.
The Senior System - VDI Engineer will support all aspects of VMware virtualization; configuration, implementation, management of servers in virtualized environment, and VDI implementations. The candidate also should have a foundation in Windows and network management skills. This position requires a mixture of engineering, operations, hands-on technical and support skills. Qualified candidates should have excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. The individual will work closely with technical leads, infrastructure and operations teams and other cross-department teams to evaluate business needs and provide end-to-end technical solutions and manage, operate, monitor, audit, secure server Virtualization assets within an empowered, cross-functional team.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Assurance, or Cyber Security and nine (9) + years of applicable experience.
+ Must have the ability to install and configure vCenter Server.
+ Must be able to work with ESXi cluster servers.
+ Must have experience monitoring the health of VMs operating in various data centers.
+ Experience with VMware Horizon View, VMware vCenter, vSphere Client and Web Client, VMware Workstation, managing VMware Horizon user profiles and understanding VMware's integration with complex storage technologies.
+ Demonstrated experience in all aspects of enterprise Windows environment operations and maintenance (O&M) and engineering.
+ Experience with performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation.
+ Demonstrated experience in a fast tempo ITSM support environment.
+ Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban, Lean, Theory of Constraints).
+ Experience with configuration management tools (Git, Mercurial, ...).
+ Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ CompTIA Security+, Network+, CSSLP, or equivalent.
+ VMware certification VCP/VCAP and/or VDI Certification.
+ Active Secret Clearance.
+ CISSP.
+ Familiarity with 557th Weather Wing.
+ Familiarity with meteorological data formats like METAR, GriB, GriB2, and NetCDF.
+ Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery concepts and enabling tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and Ansible.
+ Familiarity with service based standards such as REST and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Web Services (OWS).
+ Testing tools (e.g. Junit, Selenium, jMeter).
+ Code quality tools (e.g. Sonar, Cast).
+ Static scanning (e.g. Fortify).
