A week in the life of our Senior Systems Engineer: 

Participate in planning, design, and technical review and implementation for new infrastructure. Lead and perform implementations of technical projects for maintaining data center infrastructure.  Work with the internal team, customers, and vendors to help resolve complex technical issues.  Troubleshoot physical network, virtual network and hardware related issues.  Identify and create documentation for the team’s technical knowledgebase.  Track issues and analyze data looking for trends and systemic issues.  Help identify specifications for tools that facilitate deployment and decommissioning of systems.  Identify and support the implementation of process improvements and inform best practices in data center operations.  Translate customer business requirements to technical requirements/design.  Perform impact and risk analysis of upgrades, changes, and new implementations. Recommend updates, upgrades and purchase options for existing infrastructure and future design Assist in Operations functions as necessary as the Subject Matter Expert.
