Job Description
This position is an opportunity to shape new products from scratch and improve existing ones. The candidate will work closely with customers to develop system concepts, technical requirements, and product specifications. Following, the candidate oversees systems design throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
•\tArchitecture development, interface definition, system modelling, algorithm development, data analysis, and trade studies
•\tProvide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle
•\tProgress reporting to management and customer representatives
•\tSupport systems integration and customer trial activities
•\tGeneration of technical requirements and specifications, requirement management, compliance traceability and verification
Requirements
•\tBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
•\tMinimum 10 years working as a system engineer or electrical engineer with direct product design and architecture experience
•\tUnderstanding of electronic systems with embedded SW applications
•\tExperience in developing computer-based performance models in MATLAB to support system concept/design definition
•\tExperience guiding products through the full development lifecycle and field trials
•\tExcellent cross-functional troubleshooting skills
•\tStrong oral and written communications skills including presenting to customers and senior leadership
•\tUS Citizenship required and ability to obtain a DoD secret security clearance
•\tWork onsite. Remote work is not acceptable for this position.
Preferred Skills
•\tMasters’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
•\tExperience with underwater acoustic positioning systems for tracking and navigation
•\tUnderstanding of underwater acoustic principles
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $220000.00
Benefits include medical, dental and vision, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, 3% 401K contribution (no matching required), company events.
