To address the growing demands within the Department of Defense, SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic **Senior Systems Engineer** to provide Tier 2/3 Operations support for Platform Infrastructure Management of our Digital and AI Team as we embark on a large initiative to lead the design and operate integrated Enterprise IT solutions that deliver AI-enabled capabilities and enable data-driven decision making to missions across the Department, Services, and Combatant Commands.
The Ideal candidate will be adept at managing customer relationships, driving operational excellence, and fostering continuous improvement across all service areas.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system & op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis & estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA).
+ Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
+ Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
+ Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
+ Manages subordinates and provides guidance to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.
+ Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
**Qualifications**
· Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.
· Security+ Certification.
· Candidate must be able to obtain, or maintain, the security clearance as required.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
· ITIL Certification
· CCNA Certification
· AWS AI Practitioner Certification
