We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer located onsite in McKinney, TX supporting Airborne Multi-mode Radar (AMR) Test Automation.

The Test Automation Department (TAD) is responsible for the design and development of test equipment hardware and software for a wide range of products and customers. The AMR Test Automation section within TAD is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time on-cost solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines. The section also supports change incorporation and obsolescence redesign efforts of various legacy systems in direct support of production capabilities.

What You Will Do

Troubleshoot test equipment, circuit boards, cables, etc.Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of workFacilitate project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of six (6) years of prior relevant experienceExperience in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering, or equivalent Engineering experience for both hardware and test software developmentExperience in integration, verification, validation, and maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringKnowledge of RF technology across Communications and Radar systemsAgile Methodologies understanding.Understanding of test software such as MatLab, Test Stand, Test Executive, etc.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
