The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support a rapid acquisition Defence project.
This is a full-time fixed term position for six (6) months, based in Canberra. Interstate applicants may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
This position will require an active AGSVA NV1 clearance on commencement and the successful candidate must be willing to upgrade to an NV2.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and refinement of RFT documentation to ensure compliance with Defence requirements.Provide technical guidance on system architecture, integration, and design for the project.Review bid responses, evaluating technical feasibility, compliance, and risk.Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, commercial managers, and cost analysts.Engage with Defence stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations.Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure that all engineering activities align with Defence standards and policies.Required Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge:
Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer in a Defence environment.Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements management, integration, and verification & validation (V&V).Experience developing RFT documentation and evaluating tender responses.Knowledge of Defence procurement processes and systems engineering frameworksAbility to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess bid responses and identify potential risks.What we will offer you:
