This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.
• Analyzes & acquires data from primary and secondary data sources – creating mapping specifications for use by development resources
• Work closely with end users, business teams and business analyst to understand business needs, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments.
• Partner with Architecture on the design and integration
• Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications.
• Be involved in the full life cycle of a project, responsible for producing actionable and complete specifications, writing production quality code, and implementation.
• Design test sets and automate where possible, including functional and non-functional testing, regression testing as well as performance testing.
• Write deployment scripts and leverage tools such as the Accelerator pipeline to promote code.
• Ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of productions systems.
• Improve the end user experience by finding scalable solutions and addressing complex ad hoc queries.
• Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Design solutions, write codes, performs unit testing, develops appropriate artifacts or documentation, and facilitate final delivery.
• 5+ years of progressive technical working experience in application programming, system analysis, design, unit testing and debugging.
• Minimum 3+ years hands-on Talend development experience
• 4+ years’ experience with 2 or more ETL development languages (iWay, Informatica, DataStage)
• Experience with IBM DB2, Oracle and MS SQL Server Database
• Experience in working with SQL and NoSQL tools
• Advance knowledge of writing complex SQL queries
• Experience with the Tools such as JIRA, Confluence,
• Must have working experience using Artifactory, BitBucket, SonarQube, GIT for building Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Must have excellent communication (verbal/written) skills in English to communicate efficiently and effectively with the different stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a strong relationship with business stakeholders and various production support teams.
• Technical working experience in an Agile environment.
• Experience using Operating Systems (Linux Redhat) including scripting.
• Experience with Talend 8.0 is preferred.
