About the role
This role is integral to identifying, attracting, and retaining top talent that drives the success of our projects and overall business operations.
As a Senior Talent Specialist, you will collaborate with leadership to align talent strategies with organizational goals, ensuring we have the right people in the right roles to deliver excellence in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
What your day-to-day will look like
Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract skilled professionals for a variety of roles, from early career to mid-level. Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline through networking, partnerships with universities, and participation in industry events. Conduct initial interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with organizational needs. Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and provide guidance on best hiring practices.
Co-op Program Owner: Own the planning, coordination, and execution of the company co-op program to ensure a high-quality experience for participants and alignment with business objectives. Serve as the primary liaison between co-op students, academic programs, and internal departments. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with universities and colleges to attract top talent. Act as a resource for co-op managers, providing coaching and tools to enhance their management capabilities. Facilitate regular communication with co-op participants to address concerns, track progress, and provide career guidance.
Onboarding: Design, implement, and continuously improve the company’s onboarding program (Day 1 - 90) to enhance new hire integration and retention. Develop onboarding materials, schedules, and resources to ensure consistency and alignment with organizational culture. Coordinate cross-departmental participation in onboarding activities, ensuring a collaborative approach to welcoming new employees.
HR Analytics and Reporting: Ownership and development of HR analytics to track key metrics related to recruitment, retention, and workforce trends. Provide data-driven insights to improve talent acquisition strategies and support workforce planning. Prepare regular reports for leadership on hiring outcomes, candidate pipelines, and leave utilization.
What we’re looking for
• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, HR operations, or a related field, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a deep understanding of customer/employee experience.
• Polished, empathetic with the ability to find common ground with all levels of the organization.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
• High level of organizational and problem-solving abilities.
