Job Purpose and Impact
Regional trading & execution responsibility for Tanker based on fundamentals analysis and sentiment reading. The candidate must be a strong team player and able to contribute to the overall trading strategy, with a desire to profitably expand Cargill’s footprint. There is an emphasis on both external and internal customer relationship management. Entrepreneurial skills and business acumen are necessities. Be the inhouse expert in fixing-in freight for liquid cargoes, in particular vegoil, palmoil, biodiesel, ethanol, uan, caustic soda, and coasters.
Key Accountabilities Regional trading & chartering responsibility, and daily market analysis.Responsible for key internal customer tanker and logistic needs by product line in SingaporeAssist the team to set and execute regional game plans based on supply and demand analysis - ultimately generating profitable growth.Pricing excellence. Ensuring time charter to voyage conversion is done accurately.Closely follow up on supply and demand analysis. Leveraging market insight to challenge assumptions and anticipate market direction.Maintain and develop relationship with customers internally and externallyStrong team player who actively collaborates with operations, accounting, risk, credit & admin functions to ensure first-class execution in all respects.Identify and act on process improvement opportunities for the desk.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience5 - 10 years shipping experience, with proven track record and skills in analysis, risk-reward, timing, execution and customer focusPreferred Qualifications
Good understanding of time/voyage charter parties and maritime law.Good shipping technical, operation and executional knowledgeBasic understanding of profit and loss accounting.Solid risk management knowledgeUnderstand of regional tanker market and multiple liquid product characteristic.Analytical and numerate.Good problem solving and decision-making ability.Customer account management/development skills.Strong negotiation skills.Regional and global market view.Our Offer
