Salary Mid-Point: $0 Location: Beaver PA Job Type: Permanent IFG - Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Sr Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant is responsible for maintaining tax compliance for the Company's indirect taxes by filing returns and addressing notices on a timely basis.
Responsibilities of the Senior Tax Accountant Analyze monthly sales and use tax activity and file corresponding tax returns Assist with sales and use tax audits File personal property returns for the Company's various locations Calculate and file franchise tax returns for the Company's various entities Track monthly tax compliance activity via the company's tax calendar Managing the business license annual updates Research taxability of transactions for operational and estimating staff File gross receipts tax, value -added tax, and business occupational taxes Assist with filing various payroll reports including federal, state, local and Canadian filings Assists with special projects and ad hoc analysis Requirements of the Senior Tax Accountant B.S. in Accounting / Finance 5+ years of experience in tax compliance Experience with indirect taxes Experience working with multiple legal entities and foreign currency a plus Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) Experience with accounting systems such as JD Edwards
