Senior Tax Accountant
Overview Kemin Industries is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant who will add value by furthering the advancement of various aspects of tax related functions, including tax compliance and income tax accounting. Enjoying the opportunity to work under direction of the Worldwide Senior Tax Manager, this role will work with the team to ensure that all tax projects and initiatives are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities + Prepare and file annual federal and state income tax returns as required, including gathering worldwide information and preparation of tax return work papers + Utilize fixed asset software to manage tax fixed asset book and related book/tax differences for income tax reporting + Prepare and file quarterly filings, including estimated income taxes and various government census reporting + Ensure compliance with all state requirements, including income, sales/use and property tax filings + Research and coordinate the resolution of various tax technical issues + Provide regulatory information to accounts payable, finance and purchasing personnel with regard to various state sales/use tax laws + Correspond with various tax authorities regarding assessments, tax notices, audits requests, and other related issues + Implement new technologies to streamline processes and take Kemin to a billion-dollar company + Assist with filing of appropriate documents for state business and payroll requirements + Responsible for coordinating cross-departmental and cross-business unit information reporting Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in accounting with Masters of Tax or CPA + Minimum of 2+ years of various tax experience + General knowledge of corporate federal and state income tax taxation with + Multi-language ability a plus + Strong excel skills + Ability to see and read numbers + Effective analytical and problem solving skills, organized and detail oriented + Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a diverse team environment + Possess a high degree of personal motivation and sense of urgency Kemin is an equal opportunity employer, and all reasonable accommodations will be considered.
