Job Description:
The job is responsible for complex tax planning, forecasting, and/or advisory activities. Key responsibilities include complying with complex tax reporting requirements of various governmental jurisdictions minimizing tax liabilities, researching tax issues, developing effective tax optimization, and providing business unit support to business partners on complex issues. Job expectations include managing highly complex business partner relationships and having in-depth subject-matter expertise in relevant areas.
The Senior Tax Advisor will assist the Global Head of Transfer Pricing (“TP”) with management of the in-house global Transfer Pricing function, including (but not limited to):
Overall coverage of the EMEA and APAC regions
Participating in governance routines and reviewing data sources to ensure timely identification of new intercompany relationships
Design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of TP methodologies
Liaison with key internal stakeholders
Policing and supervising all aspects of the Global TP Policy
Assist external vendor with coordination and smooth running of annual TP documentation processes
Dealing with external auditors, tax authority audit queries or regulatory investigations
The candidate must be able to manage several projects at one time and engage with senior individuals in business and support functions. An energy to learn about the Company’s businesses and manage tax risk effectively and efficiently are required, as well as, strong written and oral communication skills. Both an independent working bias and an ability to operate within cross-functional teams are also important.
Responsibilities:
Analyses and interprets more complex tax laws and regulations
Assists in the preparation of complex tax planning and compliance strategies
Reviews federal, state, and local tax returns
Researches and analyses more complex tax issues
Oversees the preparation of tax compliance and reporting requirements
Reviews tax estimates and projections
Identifies and implements process improvements

Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Working knowledge of OECD Guidelines and US Transfer Pricing Regulations
Analytical and problem-solving mindset
Extensive experience in law firm, accounting firm or financial services specializing in transfer pricing
Financial services experience
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Effective communication skills. The role involves frequent communication with senior internal and external stakeholders
Desired Skills:
At least intermediate-level proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Upward management skills
Working knowledge of international (non-US) tax systems
Effective business influencer
