The Role

Veeva Systems is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Senior Tax Analyst to oversee critical aspects of our domestic tax operations. From preparing tax provisions to driving compliance and spearheading audits, this role offers a dynamic opportunity to shape the future of tax processes in a cutting-edge environment.What You'll DoPrepare quarterly and annual global ASC 740 tax provision models, ensuring accuracy and complianceLead calculations for tax implications related to ASC 718 Stock-Based Compensation, 162(m), and other tax provision componentsExecuting tax accounting control compliance under Sarbanes-OxleyCollaborate with external service providers on Federal and State income tax returns, including book/tax differences, state apportionment, and disclosuresOversee the accurate and timely filing of tax forms, payments, and state/local business licensesHandle federal and state notices, tax audits, and inquiries from authoritiesReconcile general ledger tax accounts monthly and provide detailed supporting documentationConduct research and provide insightful analysis on tax implications of specific transactionsWork closely with cross-functional teams to gather financial information for tax purposesTake the lead on ad hoc tax projects that drive continuous improvementRequirements3+ years of hands-on experience in federal and state income tax compliance and reporting, in a CPA firmExpertise in ASC 740 tax provision preparationA sharp analytical mindset with a knack for problem-solvingExceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to meet tight deadlinesProficient in ExcelNice to HaveA degree in Finance or Accounting (B.S./B.A.)CPA certification or a Master’s in TaxationExperience with Big 4 firms or in a multinational corporate settingPrevious exposure to NetsuitePerks & BenefitsMedical, dental, vision, and basic life insuranceFlexible PTO and company paid holidaysRetirement programs1% charitable giving programCompensationBase pay: $90,000 - $140,000The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.
