The Senior Tax Analyst – Indirect, reports to the manager of the indirect tax department. As a member of the indirect tax team, you will contribute to the group on various tax matters including but not limited to tax accounting, research, audits, and state tax compliance. In executing the responsibilities required by this position you will interact with a variety of accounting, finance, and operations personnel throughout the company as well as various external partners.
What You’ll Do:
US and Canadian Sales/use and Transaction Taxes: (50%)
Train and develop the Tax Accountant – Indirect Tax on the various aspects of their defined role in the functional area. Review and approve the deliverables of the Tax Accountant – Indirect Tax role in the functional area. Develop materials and train plant personnel on taxation of purchases and sales/use tax compliance processes and procedures. Assist and support the department manager with compliance, research, and audit defense in the functional area. Research and document tax issues and positions for the functional area. Identify and recommend systems and process improvements around accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in the functional area. Implement approved projects.Property Taxes: (20%)

Identify and recommend systems and process improvements around accuracy, timeliness and efficiency in the functional area. Implement approved projects.Income Tax: (10%)

What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Masters in Taxation, CPA or CMI Certification is desired but not required 5+ years of relevant work experience with some Big 4 experience preferred Strong research and tax compliance skills: OneSource, Checkpoint, BNA Demonstrated ability to successfully prepare, state and local indirect tax returns, business incentive schedules and filings as well as supporting work papers in a timely and accurate manner Excellent personal computer skills – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, must be familiar with tax preparation software and tax research engines Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal communication skills. Strong business and technical writing skills Ability to research complex tax issues and provide reasonable basis for tax positions. Broad technical knowledge of state and local taxation Strong verbal and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and act independently.Self-starter and highly motivated
What You’ll Receive:
As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
