Overview

As our Senior Tax Accountant you will support our global tax function. The Senior Tax Accountant will assist with a broad range of tax matters, including compliance, provision, audits, research, and process improvement. This position will gain exposure to domestic, U.S. international, and foreign tax planning, reporting, and compliance. This position will report into the Senior International Tax Manager.

Responsibilities

Key contributor to the U.S. and global tax planning, compliance and tax accounting process, including workpaper preparation and review of tax forms prepared by outside service provider.Frequent coordination and communication with local divisions and outside service provider to ensure efficient and timely filings.Prepare extensions and quarterly estimated tax payment calculations and vouchers.Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and year-end tax provision, including computation of book-to-tax differences, and state calculations.Research federal, state, and U.S. international tax issues.Research and prepare responses to tax notices from various taxing jurisdictions.Contribute to tax planning projects and special assignments.Work with other members of the tax department and internal audit to maintain effective tax controls.Build relationships with key members of the Corporate Office (Accounting, Treasury, Legal) and local divisions.Attend tax trainings to keep up-to-date on technical topics and new legislation.Assist with identifying process improvements and streamlining existing procedures.Provide occasional assistance with indirect tax and other tax submissions.


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or related)3+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industryExperience preparing income tax provision and compliance workpapers.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointExcellent interpersonal, communicative, and organizational skills and attention to detailTeam playerSelf-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.Must be commutable approximately 1 day a week to either Shelton, CT or Woburn, MA

The annual compensation range for this full-time position is $87,880  to $131,000. The final base pay offered to the successful candidate will be determined by factors including internal equity, work location, as well as individual qualifications, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
