The newly created role, Senior Tax Manager will be accountable for coordinating the M&A and transformation projects in Asia zone; to support the implementation of the projects per agreed timetable.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

     
Tax Advisory and Planning

Work with HQ and regional M&A teams, geo CBUs to coordinate and execute the M&A transactions in AsiaCoordinate the impacted DBS Zone service lines for the pre-acquisition/liquation and post-acquisition/liquidationSupport the implementation of projects per agreed timetableManage the budget of tax consulting fees in relation to the M&A transactions

Transformation Implementation

Act as a leading role in DBS Asia for legal entity simplificationImplement the transformation projects in tax area, including but not limited to new business set-up, disposal of existing legal entities, simplification of the current company holding structures, etc.

System Coordination

Coordinate the tax system projects within zone tax teamsLead the zone related tax system projects

Internal Control / Learning

Prepare and refresh tax position papers, SOPs to document the work processesSupport the zone Tax Director and geos tax teams to supervise the internal control procedures for the geos, and provide documentation for DanGo requirement, if neededSupport DBS Learning & Sharing in related M&A topics and tax topics

External Relationship

Build the relationship with external auditors and Danone tax consultantsBachelor or above degree, preferably in finance, accounting, tax, law majors or CPA or ACCA qualification At least 10-year experience in dedicated tax area, with 5 years in M&A tax expertiseBig 4 Corporate Tax or M&A experience is a must; good command of international taxationWorking experience in MNC regional or country HQ tax departmentGood command of English in writing and speakingSAP and strong accounting knowledge is a plus
