Senior Tax Specialist

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Tax Specialist to join our team and oversee critical financial activities across our Animal Health and Human Health entities.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, taxation compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities:

Annual Statutory Accounts:

Prepare and audit UK GAAP financial statutory accounts, managing audit requests and ensuring timely and compliant filing with Companies House.

Direct Taxation:

Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide the necessary information for annual corporate tax return calculations, review draft calculations, and ensure timely returns to HMRC.

Calculate quarterly corporation tax payments and prepare postings in our ERP systems based on US GAAP numbers.

Transfer Pricing:

Complete annual transfer pricing reviews, preparing the models associated with adjustments and managing intercompany transfer prices.

Collaborate with external and internal partners for annual transfer pricing reporting requirements post-statutory accounts finalization.

Indirect Taxation:

Calculate, prepare, and ensure timely filing of various indirect tax submissions, including VAT, CIS, PPT, WHT, and more.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

Qualified in accounting or tax (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) preferably with experience of indirect taxation and/or statutory accounts provision and direct taxation, ideally within a pharmaceutical companyFluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skillsAdvanced Excel skills are essential; experience with SAP is beneficialA high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical dataStrong interpersonal skills and a desire to embrace new technologies and methodologies
