Job Title: Senior Tax Specialist
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Specialist to prepare and review various aspects of federal and state income tax returns. The candidate will also prepare quarterly federal, state, and local tax payments, assist with the preparation of the company’s tax provision, and support federal and state income tax audits and notice responses. Additionally, this role involves corresponding with tax authorities and providing tax consulting through research and modeling the effects of tax law changes.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review federal and state income tax returns.Prepare quarterly federal, state, and local tax payments.Assist with the preparation of the company’s tax provision.Assist with federal and state income tax audits and notice responses.Correspond with federal and state income tax authorities as necessary.Conduct tax consulting, including researching various federal and state income tax issues and modeling effects of tax law changes.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.1-3 years of experience in true tax accounting, particularly income tax.3 to 5 years of experience in preparing income tax returns and work papers, performing tax research, and executing other tax-related projects, preferably within a C-Corp structure.Proficiency in PC software tools for reports, tax returns, analysis, and audits.Advanced proficiency in Excel.Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with excellent attention to detail.Ability to meet deadlines while working both independently and within a collaborative team.Ability to self-motivate, work with a sense of urgency, and prioritize tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsDesire to obtain CPA.C-Corp experience.Ability to establish positive working relationships across the organization.Work Environment

This position offers hybrid flexibility with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. The role is based out of Beloit and involves preparing tax for Hendricks Holdings Company and its subsidiaries. The company offers a 40% bonus based on performance, CPA reimbursement, and a bonus of $5k for CPA certification. The work environment encourages both independent work and collaboration within the team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
