Senior Technical Analyst, System Operations

The Senior Technical Analyst serves as the technical and development support for systems operations of Finance, HR and supply chain systems within ATCO. They are accountable for ensuring the integrity and reliability of the HR Systems are maintained. This includes working with the functional and other technical analysts for root cause analysis, investigating the technical designs of our systems and making recommendations to the delivery teams on areas of improvement, and designing best practices for system maintenance including monitoring, patching and releases.

What Else You Get To Do

Support unit, system and UAT testing for enhancement from delivery and for operational projects Respond to technical inquiries by the functional analysts Support and execute the change ticket process for operational changes Respond quickly to operational issues found in production On-call support for P1/P2 incidents after hours and complete root cause analysis documentation for P1/P2 incidents Ensure that all Service Requests and Incidents are within the SLA threshold Work with the integrations domain and architects to ensure that any operational code changes to our integrations are in line with architectural patterns and standards Support in the design and automation of test strategies for operational activities Work with the RPA teams to support ongoing automation of our operational activities Support and deploy delivery package releases through UAT and transition to operations Support the reporting team with complex SQL, OTBI and BI Publisher requirements.  With the help of the DBA team, support the databases outside of our SaaS based solutions Code and technical design reviews during critical project gates to ensure transition to operations is smooth, while ensuring deep knowledge of items being released through the delivery team and impacts on systems are documented/communicated.

Who You Are: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and ITIL certification or equivalent work experience is preferred 8+ years of system management and intermediate development skills Experience with HTML/CSS are considered an asset Senior experience with relational databases to support SQL and BI publisher Experience with Dynatrace is considered an asset, but must have working with other monitoring tools including new set-ups Experience in an ERP and HCM environment is critical Experience working with SaaS based vendors Experience with Oracle fusion fast formulas and Page composer/VB studio Excellent communication skills and be able to use non-technical language to explain technology to non-IT stakeholders Ability to work in a team environment, build collaborative relationships, and negotiate with stakeholders Ability to be discreet and trustworthy with confidential information
