The Michigan State Police (MSP) is requesting short term Staff Augmentation services with determining and documenting technical Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) requirements for a Request for Proposal (RFP) to receive bids and purchase a new AFIS. MSP is request a Technical Consultant to collect, determine, and document requirements for the AFIS to be included in the RFP to bid and purchase a new AFIS. Task required for this position: Compile an provide the latest technical, system and biometric advances in the AFIS Area. Work with MSP staff to determine which and to what level of these advancements MSP wants, needs, and will require. Provide MSP with insight and direction through the requirements process. Collect and document the current Michigan AFIS requirements and determine which of these requirements are still needed, need to be changed or improved, and how they impact the system, interfaces and other systems. Compile requirements for the Michigan AFIS including existing functionality and interfaces, as well as expanded and enhanced features that should be required with the new system.
Skills Required:
Must have at least fifteen (15) years of experience in writing technical AFIS Requirements. Must familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures for how to develop technical and process requirements for AFIS Bids.
15 Years Experience in writing technical requirements for Automated Fingerprint Solutions.
Education Required: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
