Role: Azure Administrator

Work Location: Hyderabad

Working hours: Willingness to work in 24x7 & night shifts as required

Job Description:

•    Design and implement cloud solutions using Azure services and technologies.
•    Manage user accounts and access permissions in Azure Active Directory and Onboard new users and ensure they have the necessary access to resources.
•    Configure and manage Azure resources like Azure Active Directory, Azure Sentinel, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, Azure Networking (VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, S2S VPN, etc.), Kubernetes Service (AKS), Redhat OpenShift (ARO), Application Gateway, WAF rules, Load Balancer & Traffic Manager, Service Principals, Azure Monitor & Azure Log Analytics, Azure BGP for ExpressRoute and S2S VPN.
•    Implement Azure Firewall.
•    Establish and enforce security best practices, policies to meet compliance standards across Azure environments.
•    Conduct risk assessments in Azure and lead initiatives to mitigate vulnerabilities.
•    Utilize Azure monitoring tools to analyze performance, availability and troubleshoot outages or degradations.
•    Review logs for unusual activities, performance issues, or security threats and configure Alerts based on monitoring data and log patterns.
•    Participate in incident response and troubleshooting efforts for cloud-based applications and services.
•    Strong experience in implementing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
•    Review Azure spending reports and budgets to monitor usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
•    Develop and maintain scripts for automating deployment and operational tasks (using PowerShell, Azure CLI, etc.).
•    Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates or terraform.
•    Work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and IT operations, to align cloud architecture with business goals.
•    Create and maintain detailed documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.
•    Act as a point of contact for escalations and provide guidance on Azure best practices. 
•    Strong written and spoken English language skills.

Technical Skill Set
Essential
    Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
    Experience with system management and development tools, such as: Ansible, git, Ansible Tower / Rundeck, Foreman, VSCode etc.
    Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (RedHat OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes).
    Experience with versioning tools like gitlab & CI/CD tools like Jenkins.
    Experience with container images registries like ACR, Harbor/Jfrog etc.
    Experience with configuring and maintaining Apache & Nginx Web servers. Configuring Load Balancer & Reverse Proxy web servers.
    Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates, Python).
    Familiar with Hitachi Vantara products (enterprise storage, blade and rack-mount servers).

Desirable
    Experience with multi cloud platforms.
    Databases such as Postgres, MySQL, Cassandra etc.
    Managing and configuring Windows and Linux Servers. 

Competencies
•    Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
•    A total of 14+ years of experience in production support with more than 3+ years of experience in managing enterprise-level Azure environments.
•    ITIL Foundation
•    Azure certifications are a plus (Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
