About this role

An award-winning national Architecture + Interiors design firm is looking for a multi-talented Technical Director to join their team!  The successful candidate will be a technically proficient architect with strengths in documentation, detailing, code knowledge, with a focus on sharing knowledge and mentoring staff.  Fluency in Revit, AutoCAD and is required, and extensive technical experience at different scales is a high priority. 

Role and responsibilities

Lead and maintain firmwide technical standards both internally and with external consultants. Be a firm resource for junior staff, expanding their understanding of the built environment. Design and construction documentation, including articulate design detailing Firmwide technical resource for detailing, standards and QA/QC Research products and specifications 
Key skills and experience Bachelor or Masters in Architecture from an accredited college/university Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in leadership positions in project delivery, detailing and construction. Extensive technical experience in all construction phases Extensive experience in a luxury residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. Excellent verbal, written, and graphic communication skills. Specialized skills in Project Management, Interior and Exterior Detailing, Code Research, and Specification Writing. Willingness to travel as required.
