**Your Career**
Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for top-notch technical marketing engineers to expand the team. As a Technical Marketing Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will play a key role in providing detailed technical information to our partners, customers, and our employees.
In this role, you will work with cutting edge technology, redefining the future of network security.
The individual will help develop and run performance tests, manage betas for new products, consult with customers on complex deployments, develop and deliver technical training for Systems Engineers and document technical concepts to educate our employees and customer base.
You are a self-starter, keen to learn and experiment with new technologies. You work well independently and excel at identifying the potential sales needs of our clients and shaping the direction of the company’s products. You aren’t afraid of ambiguity - instead, you like the challenge of defining new products as they come to market.
**Your Impact**
+ Develop, constantly refine, and execute the technical marketing plan
+ Be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and delivery of effective technical tools, whitepapers, demos, videos and technical training for sales, customers, and partners
+ Lead the automation within and across the cross-functional teams and strive to achieve technical and operational excellence in every step of the releases
+ Lead the competitive research and testing to identify key competitive advantages of our product lines and deliver them to sales, customers, and partners
+ Be a key technical evangelist for Palo Alto Networks, speaking at seminars, conferences, customer briefings, and with other groups within the company
+ Work with engineering in identifying product gaps based on competitive analysis and work with the PM to drive enhancements to bridge them
+ Be the domain authority on Palo Alto Networks products to help Systems Engineers with information on competitive questions
+ Identify Sales challenges based on any competitive situations and provide solutions
+ Document technical concepts to ensure our products are well understood and utilized to the greatest extent possible
+ Setup and maintain a competitive test lab including test harness, competitive products, automation environment, etc.
+ Configure and test competitive products, evaluate product strengths for security efficacy, product features, etc.
+ Work with marketing to develop collaterals with battle cards, presentations, and white papers
**Your Experience**
+ 5+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer/Technical Product Manager, in a product or industry focusing on cyber security, SASE, SDN or network security
+ Prior experience delivering technical product training, producing technical collaterals, and presenting to customers
+ Prefer cybersecurity experience with products such as Next-Gen Firewalls, Virtual and containerized firewalls, Network Access control and SASE solutions
+ Strong desire to experiment with new technologies
+ Strong experience with Network/Security Automation, product integration
+ Experience with Python, Terraform, Ansible and Rest APIs preferred
+ Strong knowledge of Public cloud network/security offerings in AWS, Azure and GCP
+ Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi and container platforms such as Kubernetes
+ Knowledge in building and maintaining POC & Demo environments
+ BS/MS degree or relevant experience or equivalent military experience required
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation skills and trade show experience.
+ Self-starter with excellent project organization skills, ability to drive complex projects with high levels of detail and hit deadlines.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
+ Strong customer advocacy skills and experience, ability to work in difficult customer situations.
+ Excellent people skills, team mentality

This team provides behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our systems engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in, and helping to implement technical solutions based on our client’s feedback and needs. As threats and technology evolve, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.
**Compensation Disclosure**
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $134000 - $215500/YR.
