Senior Technical Product Engineer, Crew IT

The Sr. TPE – Crew is a skilled analyst and technical leader responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies. This role involves communicating and clarifying business needs to ensure that technology products and services are aligned across multiple business units, third-party, and partner IT domains. The Sr. TPE contributes to the development of long-range plans to support strategic business goals and ensures that technology solutions meet business needs effectively. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, responsive, and detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + Driving discussions around new and emerging platforms to determine the best ways to utilize new technologies for building business solutions. + Synthesizing current state processes, operating models, and ways of working to define new, digitally oriented clarity on requirements. + Working across a diverse stakeholder group to drive consensus and create a shared understanding of detailed requirements in conjunction with technical delivery. + Supervising and improving the scrum process and project progress; helping tackle impediments in the development process. + Prioritizing and sequencing the backlog of epics, features, and user stories according to business value throughout the release and sprint planning cycles. + Meeting with business teams when needed to perform initial assessments of problematic situations. + Collecting information about business processes through various methods such as shadowing, interviews, surveys, and reading reports. + Encouraging self-organization and a cohesive scrum team; sheltering the team from outside distractions to maintain focus on the agreed sprint goals. + Ensuring that scrum principles and approaches are accurately understood by the development team and customers to enhance team performance. + Mentoring and guiding multiple teams on a day-to-day basis. + Facilitating effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding. + Identifying and mitigating risks associated with project delivery and team performance. + Continuously improving processes and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and project outcomes. + Providing regular updates and reports to senior management on project status, team performance, and potential issues. What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Technical Product Engineer, Product Owner or Scrum Master. + Experienced in guiding technical teams on agile concepts, principles, frameworks, practices, and methodologies. + Significant experience facilitating agile meetings and ceremonies involving customers and key partners, from initial backlog creation through to successful release. + Knowledge of product features with the ability to design, build, and develop new products, technologies, or services from feasibility through to production. + Proficient in tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; able to elicit, analyze, and document required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of system or software development projects. + Strong written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills. + Excellent planning and organizational skills + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States. What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. + Proactive nature with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. + Highly motivated and results driven. + Experience working with diverse teams across multiple locations and time zones. + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced technology environment, interacting with product owners, business analysts, software engineers/developers, and automation engineers. + Previous experience in the airline industry. + Scrum Master Certification.
