Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product strategy and technical execution, ensuring our solutions meet both market demands and high-quality standards. You will own the product backlog, collaborate closely with engineering teams, and drive the development of scalable, high-performance software products. You will be working on our test management product called qTest.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Backlog Ownership: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.Data-Driven Decision-making: Be comfortable interpreting and leveraging data to make prioritization decisions and tradeoffs.Technical Specification Development: Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and user stories.Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with engineering managers and technical architects to design solutions that are scalable, secure, and performant.Customer Engagement: Act as a subject matter expert for your product area, understanding user needs and addressing customer escalations effectively.Release Coordination: Oversee release planning and coordination, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of product features.Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Experience: 5+ years in product management roles with a focus on enterprise software; experience with SaaS products is a plus.Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of software development processes, high-level architecture, and performance/scalability considerations.Collaboration: Ability to partner with Engineering to balance the strategic needs of the business with technical initiatives to maintain product health.Agile Methodologies: Proven experience working in agile environments, leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop innovative solutions.Why Tricentis?
