The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Nordstrom is a dynamic role that requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills. The Senior TPM is responsible for driving the execution of technology programs and projects within the Store E xperience Technology Organization from inception to delivery, ensuring alignment with Nordstrom's strategic goals.
The Senior TPM partners with business and technology stakeholders to develop, design, build, and launch technology solutions. They work with the core leadership team to create and maintain a delivery roadmap. The Senior TPM needs an agile mentality to work with cross-functional teams and vendors, digging in to drive innovation and performance as we evol ve the systems that support Store Systems and Experiences to meet the current and future needs of our customers .
Key Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to the delivery roadmap, planning for the next 6 to 12 months, ensuring that requirements are independent of a specific implementation.
+ Engage with product management and engineering teams to align prioritization of business initiatives and key metrics that define the success of these initiatives.
+ Manage scope, resources, and schedules, balancing trade-offs between short-term iteration and longer-term planning.
+ Maintain and evolve the program roadmap a cross-teams, ensuring understanding of project goals and vision.
+ Identify hard external dependencies and ensure that systems can meet targeted service-level objectives .
+ Independently manage a growing set of diverse partners, stakeholders and other relationships, clarifying ambiguities and successfully driving alignment .
+ Build and manage relationships across the organization with stakeholders, subject matter experts , and decision makers.
+ Demonstrate a broad understanding of system functionality and interactions, and architecture .
+ Lead and contribute to design review processes and serv e as a subject matter expert for the overall program .
+ Lead teams through the full project lifecycle, including ideation, definition, build, testing, launch, and support & closure phases, utilizing appropriate project management methodologies and tools.
+ Ensure a comprehensive testing strategy aligns with initiative goals and oversee the execution of end-to-end testing .
+ Oversee the deployment plan for products or systems, coordinating across teams and functions, identifying , and mitigating risks, and ensuring quality and performance standards are met.
+ Identify and produce valuable analytics for improved performance and business decisions.
+ Use retrospectives throughout the program lifecycle to ensure continuous improvement .
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related experience required .
+ 5 + years of professional experience in program or project management within a technology environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and minimal supervision.
+ Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
+ Proficient in project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GitLab and other relevant software or ability to pick up various software tools quickly.
+ Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks.
+ Strong u nderstanding of the SDLC.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate risks proactively.
+ Experience with large scale enterprise software/services.
+ Experience drafting technical requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Professional experience delivering solutions built on AWS/GCP.
+ Agile, lean, and Kanban delivery process experience.
+ Experience supporting retail systems/solutions.

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $120,500 - $220,500 Annually
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
