Senior Technician, Scientist

As a Senior Technician, Scientist, you will be responsible for providing support to the site through non routine analytical services coordinated through the Expert, Scientist. You will also be responsible for analyzing and/or testing under GMP raw materials, intermediates, and finished products applying validated or compendia methods; development and maintenance of production critical knowledge documentation; provide technical expertise to production; and provide technical support to quality control for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate Quality leadership by setting standard and examples.Ensure awareness and follows all DSM Customer Commitments.Display and promote positive quality behaviors at all times.Act to prevent all foreign matter contamination to the Belvidere products by following personal hygiene standards, using all prescribed gowning requirements, and ensuring and maintaining cleanliness of the area and equipment.Act to prevent all foreign matter contamination to the Belvidere products by following Chemical Policy for product contact, glass/wood policy and illness reporting policy. Report Quality deviations. Follow SOP and good documentation practices.Other duties as assigned by leadership.

 You bring:

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry required.2-4 years of experience in a lab of the Life Science Industry utilizing various instrumentation (HPLC, GC, IR, etc.)Experience following policies, protocols and instructions preferredExperience in problem solving and decision making on quality and technical issues preferredStrong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skillsStrong organizational and project management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
