JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Technology is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Technology Architect with a focus on automation and scripting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to improve business processes and system operations. This individual will play a key role in driving the adoption of automation technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across Enterprise & Broadcast Technology. Support includes but is not limited to the specification, installation, and repair of computer systems and peripherals within established FOX Enterprise Technology standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with all levels of TV station personnel and Broadcast Engineers as well as with other members of the FOX Enterprise Technology team to define requirements and deliver against project and support goals.

Experience in a technology architecture role with a focus on automation and scripting.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Assess current technology architecture and identify areas for improvement through automation.Design and develop robust, scalable automation scripts and frameworks in different scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).Lead the implementation of automated solutions for system deployments, configurations, and monitoring.Ensure that all automation solutions adhere to security policies and compliance standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specificationsEnforces company policies regarding security, privacy, and data loss prevention.Work with numerous hardware, software and network products in a multi-layered distributed computing environment.Participate in corporate governance programs as required by policy.Develop procedures and/or processes to manage workload.Recommends and performs upgrades to ensure reliability, performance, and longevity.Assist with the procurement of hardware and software.Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.Document automation processes and maintain a knowledge repository for internal use.Mentor team members on best practices in automation and scripting methodologies.Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in automation, incorporating new tools and techniques when appropriate

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

In depth technical familiarity on the deployment, support and effective use of standard technologies including, but not limited to:

Technical:

Expert knowledge in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell, Bash, SQL or similar.Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).In-depth understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their respective automation capabilities.Cloud Services - Amazon EC2 Compute, S3 Storage & Workspaces.Backup software (Veeam, Rubrik, etc.). Diagnostic tools for PC’s, Cyber Security, and Networks.DHCP and DNS.Principles of NAC Appliances and End-point protection software (CrowdStrike and Tanium).Virtualization (VMWare), SAN Storage (HPE, NetApp, and Isilon).Telephony PBX / VOIP – Cisco Call Manager.Security protocols and remediation.Network Infrastructure and cabling.Data network design and configuration (Cisco, Arista) including Firewall (Palo Alto) configurations. Experience with network monitoring systems such as Science Logic and Dataminer. Knowledge of Broadcast systems (Avid, Grass Valley, BitCentral, SONY, Evertz, Ross) is a plus but not required.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $121,500.00-180,500.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $101,200.00-150,400.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
