Join us! **Job Description:** This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders. **Role Overview:** This role is responsible for managing a team of data engineers to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish cyber security technology and business goals. Key responsibilities include code design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation, and control of data in operational and analytics data systems. The role guides stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers through the design and execution processes. This individual provides technical thought leadership based on the significant experience they have built through implementing multiple complex data solutions, and their knowledge of the interaction across multiple data flows and systems. The candidate is expected to have knowledge in the cyber security domain. **Primary Interactions:** + Business partners and stakeholders + Product Owner + Scrum Master + Development Team + Feature Lead + Architect + Data Governance **Qualifications:** + 10+ years of professional work experience + 5+ years of manager experience leading a data engineering or software engineering team. + Proven experience with technology leadership guiding junior engineers towards project completion and deliveries. + Experience with cyber security domain, with focus in vulnerability data management + 8+ years of hands-on data engineer/software development experience + Experience with data integration in and out of vendor products like Service Now or similar platforms + Experience as both developer and manager in the data acquisition and integration from various sources like (not limited) RDMS (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, etc.), Big data stores (HIVE, HBase), API endpoints (JSON, XML, CSV), document stores (elastic, SOLR), near real time messaging (Kafka), etc. + Ability to read through code and evaluate your team on their estimates for user stories. + Experience with big data processing systems like Hadoop, Cloudera, etc. or experience with Cloud Services\Technologies like AWS, Azure, etc. + Experience with one or more of the programming languages like Python, Scala, or PHP + Strong SQL and UNIX experience + Experience with data stores like HIVE, HBase & Elastic + Experience with code versioning systems like Bitbucket + Experience with CICD pipelines + Good knowledge on Data engineering principles and SDLC process + Experience with establishing and improving data quality in both proactive and reactive fashions. + Ability to detect early and articulate with business partners the challenges and gaps in requirements. + Ability to articulate the success, failure, and gaps of a team in an impactful and concise manner. **Responsibilities:** + Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives + Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills + Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met + Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization + Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain + Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers + Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders **Managerial Responsibilities:** This position may also have responsibilities for managing associates.
