Job Description:
Lead development of automation patterns by analyzing application designs, collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate automated solutions seamlessly and move the organization towards more mature recovery and resiliency models.Collaborate with key stakeholders to improve recovery patterns of critical tier zero platforms and premium systems to reduce recovery times. Execute thorough testing protocols to validate automation system functionality.Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing automation, continuously evaluate automation opportunities for applications working app teams and drive updates as needed. Assist with planning TRR exercises to simulate various failure scenarios and execute failover and failback automation during including real disaster scenarios along with failing away during a critical Incident. Document results and implement identified improvements to reduce recovery times.Evaluate new technologies and services that could improve disaster recovery capabilities, lead enablement of those services and tools within the organization and own maintenance and support of those. They will own the resiliency and recovery automation deliverables leading through a team of automation engineers.Required Qualifications:
Experience and subject matter expertise in the web and distributed computing environment, as well as cloud environments (AWS Preferred).At least three years of experience in automation engineering using tools such as ServiceNow, Tidal, Ansible, Terraform and Cloudformation.Proficiency in scripting languages, like Python or Shell/powershell.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences and vice versa.Preferred Qualifications:
AWS Cloud Practitioner/AWS Solutions Architect.Experience working in the financial services industry or other similar, highly regulated environment.About Our Company
