Senior Telecommunication Infrastructure Engineer (Design)

Job Description:

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the design of ICT, Telecommunications, ELV, Electronic Safety and Security systems and Fire Alarm systems design contents on Engineering Projects.

Reviewing external consultant and contractor design drawings, specifications, and calculation submittals and coordination with other disciplines.

Coordinating with other disciplines in all stages of the design development.

Provide guidance and advice to the Project Engineering Team for all aspect of the engineering design.

Participating in design review meetings and workshops with the consultants and contractors to ensure that the intended design is implemented.

Preparing technical specifications, conceptual schemes and scope of work descriptions.

Preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.

Providing technical assistance during pre-bid conferences, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract conferences and value engineering.

Take an active role in managing, supervising and training junior/graduate engineers, leading building projects of various sizes, taking an active role in project leadership and client facing activity.

Undertaking In-House design projects in collaboration with other disciplines.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science from a Recognized University.

Minimum of 10+ Years of post-graduate experience in related Telecommunications and ELV field.

Expert knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.

Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external contacts.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple reviews and deadlines.

Responsive to changing demands.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish goals.

Ability to evaluate new approaches, systems and design solutions.

Detail oriented and strong analytical skills.

Extensive knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, and procedures.

Strong organizational skills ability to plan and schedule work.

Broad knowledge and design experience of ICT, Telecommunications, ELV, Electronic Safety and Security systems and Fire Alarm systems.

Knowledge of GPON Fiber Optic Networks, including FTTH, FTTP, FTTX, etc.

Possess a wide array of knowledge in field of telecommunication software installation and telecommunication systems design.  

Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).

The ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written word in English is essential.


SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
